This is what happens when I get obsessed with an idea. Via a link from a friend's Livejournal, I found DoomBuggy Productions, with its At Home Imagineering section. And there was a diorama of the Haunted Mansion stretching room. In a low res jpeg to be printed out. It is well known- I am a resolution whore. There was, however, a link to the original site it appeared on, dollarshort, where it lived in a pdf file. In theory. Sadly, the pdf file was no longer available for download because mac.com went pay. So I got obsessed. And started hunting down reference material. And writing a note asking for it, not expecting her to check such an old entry. And starting up Illustrator, and making my own version(s).
Mine stretches. This means the instructions are horribly muddy and confusing. Eventually I'll try to get step by step pictures for you here to show you what to do, but I haven't even finished making mine up yet. Also everything is in two pieces now, first and second page. You'll just have to deal because I haven't bothered to make it in to one file yet.

From the holiday overlay, with appearances of characters from Nightmare Before Christmas, and with breaking stained glass.
You might also consider adapting some of the ideas on DoomBuggy Productions, and making the glass frames 3 dimensional, by making the glass bits out of shrinky dinks, and the outer wreath of clay (like the Haunted Mansion Holiday Stretching Portrait Ornament).
